At Bernad Refrigeración we carry out projects of cooling rooms with ecological refrigerants such as carbon dioxide. We have wide experience in the design, installation and maintenance of all types of cooling installations. That is why we can guarantee our customers the maximum reliability.
Although it may seem like something new in the field of industrial cooling, it has been implemented since the mid-nineteenth century, acquiring in recent years greater notoriety in the refrigeration sector due to the increase in the rates of fluorinated gases and its status as a natural refrigerant.

In the subcritical phase the CO2 evaporates and absorbs heat, then it get compressed and condensed and goes into a liquid state when it loses the heat. It works in a similar way to other refrigerant gases.
In the transcritical phase, which is the most common in industrial cooling, CO2 does not condense and therefore does not change its gaseous state, that is, very high pressures are produced.
